Seedly Communities vs GoKollab Their funnel, your platform.
GoKollab gives you a free community inside HighLevel's world. Seedly Communities gives you the whole platform, source code and all, for $399 once. Here is the honest trade.

The honest version
A real move by a giant.
GoKollab is HighLevel's community product, launched in February 2026, and it is a serious entry. Free basic groups undercut Skool's $99 a month at the door, the keep-100%-of-your-revenue pitch is genuinely creator-friendly, and if you already run your business on GoHighLevel the integration is the whole point.
Now the other half. Free is the top of a funnel. The course tools and deeper customization sit behind a GoHighLevel subscription that runs $97 to $497 a month, and the community lives inside HighLevel's ecosystem and account system. The product is also months old with visible rough edges. One operator running a community of over a thousand members reported in early 2026 that search is unreliable, that resource links in private groups can show up to non-members, and that channel navigation feels clunky next to Skool.
Seedly's buyer has usually already decided how they feel about renting their business from HighLevel. This page is for that person.

If the vendor changes the deal
Competitor pricing, fees, and review scores verified July 2026 from vendor pricing pages and cited third-party sources. Plans change often, so confirm current details on each vendor's site. Seedly Communities is a one-time license plus your own hosting on accounts you control.
The math that matters
Free is a price too.
If you stay on the free tier forever, GoKollab wins the dollars and we will not pretend otherwise. But the free tier is the top of HighLevel's funnel. The moment you want the full product, courses and deeper customization included, you are on a GoHighLevel subscription at $97 to $497 a month.
Run the math on that graduation path. The $97 Starter tier is $1,164 a year, about $5,820 over five years. The $297 tier is $17,820 over the same stretch. Seedly Communities is $399 once, and there is nothing to graduate to because everything ships in the box.
Your hosting runs on your own Convex and Vercel accounts with free tiers to start, and members pay through your own Stripe with a 0% platform fee. Buying Seedly CRM at the same time? Add the community platform to that checkout for $150.
The whole point
The graduation path is the product.
GoKollab's free tier is a funnel, not a gift. HighLevel built it to route creators into its subscription ecosystem, which is fair business, but the graduation path is a monthly bill forever. Seedly's graduation path does not exist. You start at the top.
The Seedly audience knows HighLevel account risk from the CRM side, suspensions, support queues, repricing. Same ecosystem, same exposure, except now it holds your community and your member relationships too. Owning the source removes the landlord entirely.
Getting out
Getting out of GoKollab, honestly.
No importer exists, from us or anyone, and GoKollab's member export path is not well documented yet, the product is young. If you are on it today, the honest advice is to leave early, while the community is still small enough to move by hand.
The playbook is the same as every platform exit. Collect your members' emails, invite them through Seedly's invite links and email invites, re-seed your cornerstone content before people arrive, and run both spaces in parallel while members migrate. Payments re-anchor on your own Stripe with a fresh opt-in.

Straight talk
When GoKollab is the right call
If you are happily paying for GoHighLevel today and want a free community bolted onto the stack you already run, GoKollab is the obvious first thing to try, and free is free. The Discover marketplace is distribution Seedly does not have, and the zero-commission pitch deserves credit at face value.
Choose Seedly when the community is the business, when you want the courses without the subscription, or when you are trying to get out of the HighLevel ecosystem rather than deeper into it.

Questions, answered
Seedly Communities vs GoKollab, the common questions
GoKollab is free. Why would I pay $399?
Because the free tier is the top of a funnel. The full product, courses and deeper customization, runs through a GoHighLevel subscription at $97 to $497 a month, which is $5,820 to $17,820 over five years. Seedly Communities is $399 once with everything included, and nobody can reprice it later.
I already pay for GoHighLevel. Should I just use GoKollab?
Maybe, honestly. If the community is a side feature of a business that lives in GHL anyway, trying the free tier costs you nothing. If the community is the business itself, owning the platform outright means your members, content, and revenue no longer sit inside a vendor's account system.
Can I move my GoKollab community to Seedly?
There is no importer, and GoKollab's export capability is not well documented yet. The realistic path is collecting member emails, inviting everyone through Seedly's invite links, and re-seeding content by hand. The younger the community, the easier the move.
Does Seedly Communities integrate with Seedly CRM?
They are built on the same modern stack and share the same design language, and both expose REST APIs and outbound webhooks you can wire together for common use cases today. A formal packaged integration is on the roadmap, not shipped, and we will not pretend otherwise.
What happens to a GoKollab community if HighLevel changes the deal?
Whatever HighLevel decides. Free tiers can be repriced, gated, or retired at the vendor's discretion, and your community rides along. With Seedly you hold the source code, so nothing upstream can change your terms.
