What does the assistant actually know?
Whatever your community has published. Posts, comments, lessons, and courses are converted into a searchable knowledge base, and new content joins it automatically. It does not answer from the open internet.
Can a member use it to peek at gated content?
No. Retrieval is access-scoped, so the assistant only answers a member from content that member could open themselves. A free member cannot extract your paid course through a clever question.
What does it cost to run?
The module is part of the $399 license. The AI usage itself runs on your own Anthropic and OpenAI keys at provider prices, which for typical community volumes is small, visible, and entirely under your control.
Can I turn it off, or charge for it?
Both. It is a module you can switch off community-wide, and because modules gate by membership plan, you can also offer Ask AI only on your higher tiers as a paid perk.
